Advocacy Preparation

Helping you organise your story, concerns, evidence and goals before meetings, reviews or difficult conversations. We help you feel prepared, clear and supported when it matters most.

What We Do

Too many people walk into important meetings underprepared — not because they do not care, but because they did not know what to expect or how to structure what they needed to say. The result is often outcomes that do not reflect their actual needs. Advocacy preparation changes that. We work through your situation with you in advance — identifying what you want to achieve, what evidence supports your position, and how to communicate your story clearly and credibly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is advocacy preparation?

Advocacy preparation means getting ready to speak up for yourself or someone you support — before a meeting, review, assessment, or difficult conversation happens. We help you organise your story, evidence, concerns, and goals so you enter that room feeling prepared rather than reactive.

What kinds of meetings can you help me prepare for?

NDIS planning and review meetings, aged care assessments, school or education meetings, complaints processes, provider conversations, tribunal or review hearings, medical appointments, housing reviews, and any other situation where you need to present your case clearly.

Do you attend the meeting with me?

Our advocacy preparation service focuses on helping you prepare, not on attending meetings as a representative. If you need someone to attend with you, we can discuss what is appropriate and refer you to a relevant advocacy body if needed.

What if I am not sure what my goals are yet?

That is exactly where we start. Many people come to us without a clear picture of what they want. Part of our work is helping you identify and articulate what you are trying to achieve before we help you communicate it.

What does 'organising evidence' mean in practice?

It means pulling together the reports, letters, assessments, and records that support your case — and helping you understand which ones are most relevant, how to present them clearly, and what gaps might need to be addressed before your meeting.
